Serving Tierrasanta and Surrounding Areas
Tierrasanta sits in the hills beside Mission Trails Regional Park, and locals call it the Island in the Hills because only four roads lead in and all of them end inside the community. The land was Camp Elliott until 1946, the City bought it in 1961, and Tierrasanta was founded in 1971. It has been almost fully built out since the early 1990s. At roughly 9 miles from the coast the afternoons run warm here. CrossBreeze is about 13 minutes away in Mira Mesa.
CrossBreeze covers Tierrasanta from the town center out to Tierrasanta Norte, including the roughly 2,300 homes of the Murphy Canyon military housing complex in the southwest of the community. Tierrasanta was one of the first master planned communities in San Diego and has been almost fully built out since the early 1990s, so a lot of the systems here are on their second round of equipment. That makes AC Installation & Replacement and Furnace & Heating Repair the common calls, along with HVAC Maintenance & Tune Ups to get a few more years out of a unit that still works. At roughly 9 miles from the coast the afternoons run warm, so a Whole House Fan or Attic Fan Installation can pull the day's heat out in the evening and give the AC a rest. Mini Split Installation fits a room the ductwork never reached, and Heat Pump Installation covers heating and cooling with one system. Eddie comes out, looks at what you have, and gives a straight number before any work starts. CSLB #1055889, 5.0 stars on 26 Google reviews.

AC Repair
Tierrasanta has been almost fully built out since the early 1990s, so the air conditioning in the 92124 zip is mostly second generation equipment with years on it. Eddie does the diagnosis himself, which means the person telling you what failed is the person who has to stand behind the fix. You get a straight number before any repair starts and nothing is quoted over the phone. We are open seven days a week and we are not a 24 hour service.

Mini Split Installation
A ductless mini split mounts on the wall and connects to an outdoor unit through a small line set, so it needs no ductwork at all. In Tierrasanta that usually means a converted garage, a bonus room, or the back bedroom the original tract ducting never reached properly. Each head is its own zone, so you are not conditioning the whole house to fix one room. Eddie does the room survey himself before anyone quotes a head, because sizing matters more here than brand does.

AC Installation & Replacement
Tierrasanta was one of the first master planned communities in San Diego and the tracts have been built out since the early 1990s, so replacements here are common and the houses inside a tract are similar to each other. That does not mean the sizing is. An oversized system short cycles and wears itself out early, so we size off your house rather than matching what the neighbor put in. Eddie gives a straight number before anything is ordered. Financing runs 2.99% through Housecall Pro, or 50% down over one to three years.

Furnace & Heating Repair
San Diego furnaces sit unused most of the year, which is exactly why they fail on the first cold night, and in Tierrasanta a lot of them are already second generation units. The usual faults are a dirty flame sensor, a failed igniter, a stuck pressure switch, or a filter clogged after months of standing still. A cracked heat exchanger gets treated as a carbon monoxide question rather than a patch job. Eddie looks at the system before he gives a number.

HVAC Maintenance & Tune Ups
Seasonal tune ups that catch the cheap problem before it becomes the expensive one.

Whole House Fan
A whole house fan is a ceiling mounted fan that pulls cool outside air in through open windows and pushes the hot air trapped in the house out through the attic vents. It is not air conditioning and it does not replace it. Tierrasanta sits roughly 9 miles from the coast, far enough inland that afternoons run warm and the evening air outside is usually cooler than the air the house has been holding. Sizing goes by the airflow the house needs, and the attic has to have enough vent area to exhaust it, so Eddie looks at the attic before anything is quoted.

Heat Pump Installation
One system that heats and cools, and suits San Diego's mild winters unusually well.

Attic Fan Installation
Attic fans that stop your roof from radiating the afternoon back down into the house.

Ducting & Zoning
Duct installation, re-ducting and zoning for houses where some rooms never get comfortable.

Every review CrossBreeze has earned on Google is a five star review. Here are a few of them.
Honesty is the first thing that one expects from any professional offering their services and cost comes second. I had Eddie come for an estimate and before even he could give me one he pointed a glaring technical potential disastrous gas pipe to the furnace by the builder which no other service technician EVER pointed out. That goes to show how professionally sound he is. Another company after inspection told me that one of the dampers didn't work so I discussed it with Eddie as well. He spent time investigating that and told me that was NOT the case and dampers were fine. Honesty!!! is very big with us.

"I highly recommend Eddie and Crossbreeze Heating & Air. He came highly recommended by my plumber and wow, when our minisplits went out, he responded promptly and came right away to assess the situation. He was professional, timely, considerate, honest, and simply wonderful. Our other AC went out on the day he arrived and he took care of that as well all within the time frame he quoted us. His work was very good and he cleaned everything up leaving things tidy."

I had a new A/C installation and replacement of heater and ducting. He came out made suggestions, provided an estimate with install date and everything was completed exactly as promised. They showed up on time, were very friendly, professional, quick, and clean."
