What HVAC services does CrossBreeze offer?
Nine, and they cover a system end to end. AC repair, AC installation and replacement, furnace and heating repair, HVAC maintenance and tune ups, mini split installation, heat pump installation, whole house fans, attic fan installation, and ducting and zoning. We work on homes, new construction and light commercial across San Diego, the South Bay and East County, and we service equipment regardless of which company originally put it in.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. CrossBreeze holds California contractor license CSLB #1055889 with the C20 heating and air classification, held since 2019, and carries a contractor bond plus active workers compensation. Eddie Layola founded the company in 2018 and still does most of the work himself. You can look the license up on the CSLB website under that number, and the rating is 5.0 stars across 26 Google reviews.
What are your hours, and do you offer emergency service?
We are open Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm and Saturday and Sunday 9am to 4pm. We are not a 24 hour emergency service. We would rather tell you that up front than have you waiting on a call back at midnight.
What equipment brands do you install and service?
We install and service Goodman, Daikin, Trane, Carrier, Bryant, Day and Night, York, Mitsubishi, Fujitsu, Samsung, Innovair and AC Pro. Mitsubishi, Fujitsu, Daikin and Samsung are the ductless mini split lines we work with most. We service equipment regardless of who installed it, so you do not need to go back to the original company to keep a warranty claim clean.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. Financing runs at 2.99% through Housecall Pro, or you can put 50% down and pay the balance over one to three years. What we will not do is name a figure before we have seen the equipment, because the size of system your home needs and the state of your ducting both move it. Eddie looks at what you have first, and then you get a number that holds.
Do you work on commercial buildings or only homes?
We do homes, new construction and light commercial. Light commercial means the kind of package units and mini split systems you find on a small office, a shop or a restaurant suite. We do not take on big commercial jobs and we do not do water source heating, so if that is what you need a specialist will serve you better than we would.
What areas of San Diego does CrossBreeze serve?
We work out of the shop at 9014 Flanders Dr in Mira Mesa and cover 23 communities across San Diego County, from Encinitas and Del Mar in the north, down through the city itself, and out across the South Bay and East County to Chula Vista, El Cajon and Lakeside. Everything we cover sits inside about a 35 minute drive, which is what lets us hold the arrival times we quote.
What does it mean that CrossBreeze is Filipino owned?
Mabuhay is how we answer the door. It is a Filipino greeting that means long life, and it is how you welcome somebody into your home. In practice it means we take our shoes off, we clean up, and we tell you the truth about your system even when it costs us the sale. Many of our customers are kababayan who found us the way Filipino families find everybody, through someone they trust.
