Serving National City and Surrounding Areas
National City sits near the coast with San Diego Bay right at its western edge. The climate is mild all year, and in May and June the marine layer often keeps the air cool and damp. That is easy on cooling bills but the salt and damp are hard on outdoor units over time. The city was incorporated in 1887 and still has Victorian homes from the late 1800s, so systems and ductwork vary a lot from house to house. CrossBreeze is based in Mira Mesa, about 25 minutes away.
CrossBreeze covers National City from Old Town and Heritage Square across to Las Palmas, El Toyon and Lincoln Acres. Because some of the housing goes back to the Victorian era, the first job is figuring out what a house actually has. Older homes with no ductwork are good candidates for Mini Split Installation, and Ducting & Zoning is worth a look when one end of the house never cools. Winters are mild, so Heat Pump Installation covers heating and cooling with one system and Furnace & Heating Repair keeps an existing furnace going. Regular HVAC Maintenance & Tune Ups matter more this close to the bay, where salt air works on outdoor units. Eddie comes out, looks at what you have, and gives a straight number before any work starts. About one in five residents in National City is Filipino, and kababayan here call CrossBreeze, and everyone is welcome. CSLB #1055889, 5.0 stars on 26 Google reviews.

AC Repair
National City sits with San Diego Bay at its western edge, and the salt and damp work on an outdoor unit over time. The city was incorporated in 1887 and still has Victorian homes from the late 1800s, so the first job is often figuring out what a house actually has before anything gets diagnosed. Eddie does that himself and gives you a straight number before any repair starts.

Mini Split Installation
Older homes in National City often have no ductwork at all, and a ductless mini split needs none. It mounts on the wall and connects to an outdoor unit through a small line set, which makes it the usual answer for a Victorian, a converted space, or a room the ducting never reached. Each head is its own zone, so you are not conditioning the whole house to fix one room. Eddie surveys the room before anyone quotes a head.

AC Installation & Replacement
Housing in National City varies more than in most of the county, from the late 1800s through to today, so a replacement here starts with what the house can actually take rather than with a model number. We size off the house instead of matching whatever was there before. Eddie looks at it and gives a straight number before anything is ordered. Financing runs 2.99% through Housecall Pro, or 50% down over one to three years.

Furnace & Heating Repair
Winters in National City are mild, so a furnace sits unused most of the year and that is exactly why it fails on the first cold night. The usual faults are a dirty flame sensor, a failed igniter, a stuck pressure switch, or a filter clogged after months of standing still. In an older home the ducting gets checked at the same time. A cracked heat exchanger gets treated as a carbon monoxide question rather than a patch job.

HVAC Maintenance & Tune Ups
Seasonal tune ups that catch the cheap problem before it becomes the expensive one.

Whole House Fan
A whole house fan is a ceiling mounted fan that pulls cool outside air in through open windows and pushes the hot air trapped in the house out through the attic vents. It is not air conditioning and it does not replace it. National City averages 201 days a year above 72 degrees, so a system gets steady use and anything that cuts compressor time is worth asking about. The attic has to have enough vent area to exhaust it, so Eddie looks at the attic before anything is quoted.

Every review CrossBreeze has earned on Google is a five star review. Here are a few of them.
Honesty is the first thing that one expects from any professional offering their services and cost comes second. I had Eddie come for an estimate and before even he could give me one he pointed a glaring technical potential disastrous gas pipe to the furnace by the builder which no other service technician EVER pointed out. That goes to show how professionally sound he is. Another company after inspection told me that one of the dampers didn't work so I discussed it with Eddie as well. He spent time investigating that and told me that was NOT the case and dampers were fine. Honesty!!! is very big with us.

"I highly recommend Eddie and Crossbreeze Heating & Air. He came highly recommended by my plumber and wow, when our minisplits went out, he responded promptly and came right away to assess the situation. He was professional, timely, considerate, honest, and simply wonderful. Our other AC went out on the day he arrived and he took care of that as well all within the time frame he quoted us. His work was very good and he cleaned everything up leaving things tidy."

I had a new A/C installation and replacement of heater and ducting. He came out made suggestions, provided an estimate with install date and everything was completed exactly as promised. They showed up on time, were very friendly, professional, quick, and clean."

Does living near San Diego Bay affect my AC in National City?
It does over time. National City averages 201 days a year above 72 F, so a system gets steady use, and the marine layer and salt air work on the outdoor unit. A yearly tune up catches corrosion and worn parts early. Eddie looks at the unit before he recommends anything and does not quote a price sight unseen.
