What Your Neighbors Say About Eddie
Every review CrossBreeze has ever earned on Google is a five star review. Here are a few of them.
Honesty is the first thing that one expects from any professional offering their services and cost comes second. I had Eddie come for an estimate and before even he could give me one he pointed a glaring technical potential disastrous gas pipe to the furnace by the builder which no other service technician EVER pointed out. That goes to show how professionally sound he is. Another company after inspection told me that one of the dampers didn't work so I discussed it with Eddie as well. He spent time investigating that and told me that was NOT the case and dampers were fine. Honesty!!! is very big with us.

"I highly recommend Eddie and Crossbreeze Heating & Air. He came highly recommended by my plumber and wow, when our minisplits went out, he responded promptly and came right away to assess the situation. He was professional, timely, considerate, honest, and simply wonderful. Our other AC went out on the day he arrived and he took care of that as well all within the time frame he quoted us. His work was very good and he cleaned everything up leaving things tidy."

"So hard to find good contractors these days but Eddie and his team definitely delivers. Great pricing, excellent work and a real pleasure to work with. I had a new A/C installation and replacement of heater and ducting. He came out made suggestions, provided an estimate with install date and everything was completed exactly as promised. They showed up on time, were very friendly, professional, quick, and clean."

Filipino Owned, And It Shows Up In The Work
CrossBreeze is a Filipino owned heating and air company. Eddie founded it in 2018 and we have said Mabuhay on every job since.
We are proud of our Filipino heritage and we want it to shine through in everything we do. Mabuhay is more than just a word. It is a reminder that we bring warmth, care and authenticity to every job.
In practice that means we take our shoes off, we clean up after ourselves, and we tell you the truth about your system even when the truth costs us the sale.
A lot of our customers are kababayan who found us the way Filipino families find everybody, through somebody they trust. We are honored by that, and every home in San Diego County is welcome here.
Neighborhoods We Know Well

Why San Diego Calls CrossBreeze
Eddie Layola started CrossBreeze Heating and Air in 2018 and has held the California C20 license since 2019. He is not a dispatcher. When you call CrossBreeze, Eddie is usually the one who comes out and looks at your system.
Read the reviews and you will notice they all say the same thing. He found the problem the last company missed. He told me I did not need the repair someone else was selling. He cleaned up after himself. That is the whole business, and it is why almost all of our work comes from someone telling their neighbor.
You get Eddie, not a call center
Eddie Layola founded CrossBreeze in 2018 and he is still the one who shows up to look at your system. Every review below names him.
Honest before it is profitable
Our customers keep writing the same thing. Eddie talked them out of a repair they did not need, or caught something the last company missed.

Questions We Get Asked
How much does it cost to install an attic fan or whole house fan in San Diego?
It depends on the size of fan the house needs, whether the attic has enough vent area to exhaust it, and how the wiring has to run, so CrossBreeze does not publish a price. Eddie looks at the attic first and gives you a straight number before any work starts. Sizing goes by the airflow the house needs rather than by room count, which is the part most quotes get wrong.
Does an attic fan actually cool the house?
It cools the house by removing heat rather than by making cold air, so it is not air conditioning and it does not replace it. An unconditioned San Diego attic sits well above the outdoor temperature all afternoon and radiates that heat down into the bedrooms into the evening. Moving that air out costs a fraction of running the air conditioner against it.
Do you repair attic fans and whole house fans, or only install them?
CrossBreeze repairs attic fans and whole house fans as well as installing them, including units somebody else put in. The usual faults are a failed motor, a seized damper, a bad thermostat or humidistat, and loose or undersized wiring. Call 760-715-0523.
Who should I call for AC repair in San Diego?
CrossBreeze Heating and Air handles air conditioning repair across San Diego, the South Bay and East County. Eddie Layola does the diagnosis himself, so the person telling you what failed is the person who has to stand behind the fix, and you get a straight number before any repair starts. Nothing is quoted over the phone. Call 760-715-0523.
Do you install ductless mini splits?
Yes. A ductless mini split needs no ductwork at all, so it is the usual answer for a converted garage, an ADU, or a room the original ducting never reached. Each head is its own zone, so you are not conditioning the whole house to fix one room. CrossBreeze installs Mitsubishi, Fujitsu, Daikin and Samsung, single head or multi head off one outdoor unit, and services mini splits it did not install.
What does a new HVAC system cost to install?
It depends on the size of the system your home needs and the shape your ducting is in, so CrossBreeze does not quote a price sight unseen. Eddie comes out, looks at what you have, and gives you a straight number before any work starts. Financing is available at 2.99% through Housecall Pro, or you can put half down and take one to three years to pay the rest.
Does CrossBreeze offer financing?
Yes. CrossBreeze Heating and Air offers financing at 2.99% through Housecall Pro. They also offer an installment plan where you pay 50% up front and pay off the balance over one to three years.
Is CrossBreeze a Filipino owned HVAC company?
Yes. CrossBreeze Heating and Air is a Filipino owned heating and air conditioning company in San Diego County. Eddie Layola founded it in 2018 and still runs it, and the company greets customers with Mabuhay, the Filipino welcome. CrossBreeze holds California contractor license CSLB #1055889 and serves every home in San Diego County.
Where can I find a Filipino owned HVAC contractor in San Diego?
CrossBreeze Heating and Air is a Filipino owned HVAC contractor serving San Diego, Chula Vista, National City, El Cajon and the South Bay, including the Filipino community in Mira Mesa, Rancho Penasquitos, Scripps Ranch and Paradise Hills. They install, repair and maintain air conditioning, furnaces, ducting, mini splits and heat pumps. Call 760-715-0523.
How quickly can you get out for an AC repair in San Diego?
We are open Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm and Saturday and Sunday 9am to 4pm, and we book same or next day where the schedule allows. We are not a 24 hour emergency service, so if your system quits at 11pm the honest answer is that we will see you in the morning.
