Heating & Air Conditioning in Encinitas, CA

Encinitas runs on May Gray and June Gloom in spring and 75 to 85 F afternoons through the dry season, about as mild as it gets.

Serving Encinitas and Surrounding Areas

Encinitas is a beach city in North County, right on the coast, with a very mild climate and an average daily high of 72 F. May Gray and June Gloom hang over the coast in spring, then the dry season runs summer through fall at 75 to 85 F. Homes here need steady, efficient heating and cooling rather than brute force, and salt air on outdoor units is the bigger long term problem. Of the 26,408 housing units at the 2020 census, 65 percent were owner occupied. CrossBreeze is about 28 minutes from Mira Mesa.

We cover the whole city, from Old Encinitas along Coast Highway 101 to New Encinitas and Village Park over the ridge, Leucadia and Cardiff-by-the-Sea on the water, and Olivenhain out east. Old Encinitas has a mix of housing styles, and where there is no room for ductwork Mini Split Installation is usually the right answer. With winters this mild, Heat Pump Installation covers heating and cooling in one unit for the single family homes in Leucadia and Olivenhain. Salt air is hard on outdoor equipment, so HVAC Maintenance & Tune Ups pay for themselves along the coast, and we handle AC Repair, Furnace & Heating Repair, and Ducting & Zoning throughout Encinitas. A Whole House Fan works well here, pulling cool evening air through the house instead of running the AC. Eddie comes out, looks at what you have, and gives you a straight number before any work starts. CrossBreeze is C20 licensed, CSLB #1055889, with a 5.0 rating on 26 Google reviews.

What Your Neighbors Say About Eddie

Every review CrossBreeze has earned on Google is a five star review. Here are a few of them.

Honesty is the first thing that one expects from any professional offering their services and cost comes second. I had Eddie come for an estimate and before even he could give me one he pointed a glaring technical potential disastrous gas pipe to the furnace by the builder which no other service technician EVER pointed out. That goes to show how professionally sound he is. Another company after inspection told me that one of the dampers didn't work so I discussed it with Eddie as well. He spent time investigating that and told me that was NOT the case and dampers were fine. Honesty!!! is very big with us.

"I highly recommend Eddie and Crossbreeze Heating & Air. He came highly recommended by my plumber and wow, when our minisplits went out, he responded promptly and came right away to assess the situation. He was professional, timely, considerate, honest, and simply wonderful. Our other AC went out on the day he arrived and he took care of that as well all within the time frame he quoted us. His work was very good and he cleaned everything up leaving things tidy."

"So hard to find good contractors these days but Eddie and his team definitely delivers. Great pricing, excellent work and a real pleasure to work with. I had a new A/C installation and replacement of heater and ducting. He came out made suggestions, provided an estimate with install date and everything was completed exactly as promised. They showed up on time, were very friendly, professional, quick, and clean."

Call 760-715-0523 or send a message and Eddie comes out to look at what you have. CrossBreeze does not quote a price sight unseen, because the right number depends on the size of the system your home needs and the shape your ducting is in. You get a straight number before any work starts.

Do homes in Encinitas really need heating with weather this mild?

Yes, more than people expect. The average daily high is 72 F, and winter and spring bring rain and marine layer fog, so mornings get chilly indoors. A heat pump handles that and the summer cooling in one unit.
