# Heating & Air Conditioning in Serra Mesa, CA | CrossBreeze Heating & Air > Serra Mesa took shape after the Korean War, starting with the Navy's Cabrillo Heights housing in the early 1950s, and CrossBreeze is about 15 minutes up the road. ## Serving Serra Mesa and Surrounding Areas Serra Mesa sits about 6.5 miles from the water, between Interstate 805 and Interstate 15, north of Friars Road and south of Aero Drive. That is close enough to the coast that the air works on outdoor units over time, and it is worth having someone check the condenser now and then. Development picked up after the Korean War, when the Navy built Cabrillo Heights in the early 1950s, so some of the housing here goes back that far. Our shop in Mira Mesa is about 15 minutes away. CrossBreeze works throughout Serra Mesa, including Cabrillo Heights, Cabrillo Village, Mission Village, and Birdland, and over into Kearny Mesa and Tierrasanta. Some of the housing here goes back to the early 1950s, so mini split installation is a good fit for older houses and additions that were never ducted right. A heat pump covers heating and cooling in one system, which suits a lot of homes around here. Whole house fans and attic fans make sense this close to the coast, pulling in evening air so the AC runs less. We also handle AC repair, AC installation and replacement, furnace and heating repair, HVAC maintenance and tune ups, and ducting and zoning. Eddie comes out, looks at what you have, and gives you a straight number before any work starts. No guessing over the phone. Licensed C20 since 2019, CSLB #1055889, and 5.0 stars on 26 Google reviews. ### Areas We Cover Around Serra Mesa - Cabrillo Heights - Cabrillo Village - Mission Village - Birdland - [Kearny Mesa](https://crossbreezehvac.com/locations/kearny-mesa.md) - [Tierrasanta](https://crossbreezehvac.com/locations/tierrasanta.md) ### Local Service Area Based in Mira Mesa, San Diego since 2018.
