# Heating & Air Conditioning in San Diego, CA | CrossBreeze Heating & Air > San Diego is a city of microclimates, cool and damp under the marine layer near the water and bright sunshine 5 to 10 miles inland, so the right system depends on which mesa you live on. ## Serving San Diego and Surrounding Areas San Diego sits right on the Pacific coast, but the city spreads across mesas and canyons and the weather changes over short distances. Within a few miles of the water the marine layer keeps the air cool and damp, which is easy on cooling bills but hard on outdoor units that live in salt air. Head 5 to 10 miles inland and afternoons run warmer with bigger swings between day and night. CrossBreeze is based in Mira Mesa, and downtown is about 21 minutes from the shop. CrossBreeze is a Mira Mesa company. Eddie's shop is on Flanders Dr, and Scripps Ranch, Rancho Penasquitos and Rancho Bernardo are the next communities over. South of Miramar, Clairemont, Kearny Mesa and Tierrasanta get the same attention. Across all of these Eddie handles AC Repair, AC Installation & Replacement, Furnace & Heating Repair and HVAC Maintenance & Tune Ups. Winters here are mild, so a Heat Pump Installation covers heating and cooling in one unit and makes sense for a lot of homes. Mini Split Installation fits a room that never got ductwork, and Ducting & Zoning helps a house that is hot on one side and cold on the other. A visit is simple. Eddie comes out, looks at what you have, and gives you a straight number before any work starts. Kababayan across Mira Mesa, Scripps Ranch and Rancho Penasquitos call CrossBreeze, and everyone is welcome.
