# Heating & Air Conditioning in Poway, CA | CrossBreeze Heating & Air > Poway calls itself The City in the Country, and it sits inland at 515 feet, where the summers run hot and the winters are cool and wet. ## Serving Poway and Surrounding Areas Poway sits inland, east of the city of San Diego at 515 feet and about 13 miles from the coast. The summers run hot and the winters are cool and wet, so the air conditioner works hard all summer and the furnace or heat pump has to carry the winter. Most of Poway is owner occupied, 75.1 percent at the 2020 census, and a lot of those homes go back to the tracts that went up from 1957 on. We are about 16 minutes away, over in Mira Mesa. We work all over Poway, by Old Poway Park, near Lake Poway and Twin Peaks, by Poway Community Park, and out by Sycamore Canyon Preserve. Scripps Ranch and Rancho Penasquitos are close by, so Poway is a short hop for us. Inland heat is hard on equipment, so AC Repair and AC Installation & Replacement are what a Poway summer calls for, along with HVAC Maintenance & Tune Ups before the hot months. Older tract homes are where Ducting & Zoning and Furnace & Heating Repair come up, and a Whole House Fan or Attic Fan Installation pulls the day's heat out of the house in the evening. Heat Pump Installation fits Poway's cool wet winters too. When you call, Eddie comes out, looks at what you actually have, and gives you a straight number before any work starts. We do not quote sight unseen.
