# Heating & Air Conditioning in La Mesa, CA | CrossBreeze Heating & Air > La Mesa sits about 10 miles east of the Pacific, far enough that summer afternoons run hotter here than they do in the parts of San Diego closer to the water. ## Serving La Mesa and Surrounding Areas La Mesa is inland, roughly 10 miles east of the Pacific Ocean, and that gap shows up on the thermostat. Summers are hot and dry and the temperatures swing further than they do in the parts of San Diego closer to the coast, so an air conditioner works harder through the afternoon. Winters stay warm, which is what makes a heat pump a sensible fit here. The 2020 census counted 26,063 housing units here, just under half owner-occupied. CrossBreeze Heating & Air is based in Mira Mesa, about 21 minutes away. We work in Grossmont, La Mesa Village and Downtown La Mesa, and across the rest of the city. In a hot, dry summer climate most of the calls are AC Repair, AC Installation & Replacement, and HVAC Maintenance & Tune Ups before the heat arrives. Because winters here are warm, a Heat Pump Installation covers both seasons with one system. Furnace & Heating Repair, Whole House Fan, Attic Fan Installation and Ducting & Zoning round it out. More than half of the occupied homes in La Mesa are rentals, so we work with owners and landlords alike. A visit is simple. Eddie comes out, looks at what you have, and gives you a straight number before any work starts. We do not quote a price sight unseen. CrossBreeze holds a C20 license, CSLB #1055889, and has a 5.0 rating on 26 Google reviews. ### Areas We Cover Around La Mesa - Grossmont - La Mesa Village - Downtown La Mesa ### Local Service Area Based in Mira Mesa, San Diego since 2018.
