# Heating & Air Conditioning in Carmel Mountain, CA | CrossBreeze Heating & Air > Carmel Mountain Ranch sits inland in the shadow of Black Mountain, about 11 miles from the coast, so summer afternoons here run hotter than they do by the water. ## Serving Carmel Mountain and Surrounding Areas Carmel Mountain Ranch is inland, roughly 11 miles from the coast in the northeastern part of San Diego. That far from the water the afternoons run hotter than the beach communities, so the AC does most of the work in summer. Development of the community started in the 1970s and the main roads were finished by 1999, so a lot of the houses are old enough that the original heating and cooling equipment has come up for replacement at least once. CrossBreeze is based in Mira Mesa, about 11 minutes away. CrossBreeze works across Carmel Mountain Ranch and the communities around it, including Rancho Bernardo, Rancho Penasquitos, Sabre Springs and Poway. Out here the big jobs are AC Repair and AC Installation & Replacement, since inland summers put the most hours on a system. Heat Pump Installation fits well here because one unit handles both the cooling and the heating. Whole House Fan and Attic Fan Installation help pull the day's heat out of the house in the evening, and Ducting & Zoning makes sense when one part of the house runs warmer than the rest. HVAC Maintenance & Tune Ups keep an older system going until it is time to replace it. Eddie comes out himself, looks at what you have and how the house is set up, and gives you a straight number before any work starts. He does not quote a price sight unseen. CrossBreeze holds CSLB #1055889 and has a 5.0 rating on 26 Google reviews. ### Areas We Cover Around Carmel Mountain - Fairway Village - Highland Ranch - Rancho Bernardo - [Rancho Penasquitos](https://crossbreezehvac.com/locations/rancho-penasquitos.md) - Sabre Springs - [Poway](https://crossbreezehvac.com/locations/poway.md) ### Local Service Area Based in Mira Mesa, San Diego since 2018.
